Trees Between Facades

From a low vantage point, amidst park chairs, the gaze rises towards building facades. The bare branches of trees create an intertwining of organic lines superimposed on the serial grid of windows. A classic-style lamppost, visible between floors, anchors the scene to a more intimate dimension.
The vertical framing accentuates the buildings' thrust and the scene's density. A standard 50mm focal length and an intermediate aperture (f/5.6) maintain the legibility of the different planes, from tree trunks to architectural textures, while the blurred foreground guides the eye.
