Architecture and Granite

In a rocky Sardinian landscape, a building and its outbuildings integrate with granite boulders. The constructions and the rock appear to belong to a single entity, whose monumental scale is revealed by the presence of two small human figures.
A blurred rock occupies the foreground, a natural backdrop that introduces depth and guides the eye. Direct light defines the volumes and brings out the materiality of the surfaces, from peeling plaster to the harshness of the stone.
