A succession of dunes forms a landscape of curves and shadows. Side lighting defines the volumes in a sculptural manner, sharply separating the slopes and turning the horizon into a sequence of almost abstract shapes.
The composition is built on overlapping planes and sinuous lines that lead the eye into depth. The use of a narrow aperture (f/10) ensures a remarkable depth of sharpness, highlighting the texture of the sand where the light hits it directly.
