An outpost of energy stands solitary on a wind-swept plateau. The sky, dense and in motion, is the true subject of the scene, an restless mass looming over the promise of modernity left to itself.
The use of an extremely fast shutter speed (1/6400s) freezes the dramatic movement of the clouds, while the closed aperture (f/10) ensures an extended depth of field that anchors the station to the landscape. The high ISO sensitivity (6400) produces a dense and textured grain, which becomes a fundamental expressive element of the image.
