Gacholle Lighthouse
by Davide Terrile·Support
A gravel path runs alongside dense scrubland and leads towards the lighthouse complex. Struck by the light, the tower emerges as a sharp volume against a contrasting sky, while the vegetation almost seems to absorb the foreground.
The use of a wide-angle focal length (18mm) in a vertical frame accentuates the tower's upward thrust and the density of the foreground. Direct light and the sky darkened by the black-and-white conversion precisely define the architecture's geometry and the landscape's textures.
