Vertical Garden

An alley narrows between the facades, where a blade of light cuts through the shadow and illuminates the leaves. Nature reclaims its space, a domesticated jungle climbing walls marked by time and graffiti. The silence is dense, almost as material as the stone.
The f/8 aperture ensures an extended depth of field, essential for rendering the material richness of the various visual planes, from the cobblestones to the facades in the background. The intense midday light, managed with a fast shutter speed, is used to sculpt volumes and accentuate the contrast between surfaces.
