The Weight of Marble

A face emerges from the darkness, sculpted by a light that is already memory. The empty eye sockets do not return the gaze but question the observer about the weight of history and its transience.
The large aperture (f/1.8) captures the sculpted available light, while the fast shutter speed (1/500s) freezes the texture of the stone. This technical choice isolates the subject in the darkness, transforming the portrait into a dramatic apparition.
