The Path Between the Rocks

A stone path winds through low vegetation, in front of a rock face illuminated by a raking light. A sky heavy with clouds overlooks the scene, dominated by the contrast between the dense shadows of the slope and the light material of the rock.
The 24mm wide-angle focal length accentuates the vastness of the landscape and the monumentality of the rock formation on the left. The composition is based on a strong visual contrast, with the path in the foreground offering an entry point into the scene.
