Intertwining on the Coast
by Davide Terrile·Support
A shrub with bare, twisted branches stands out against a rocky slope that descends toward the sea. The intense light defines its complex, almost calligraphic structure and the stony texture of the ground. Its form introduces a dialectic between the resilience of the plant and the harshness of the landscape.
The vertical framing accentuates the upward reach of the branches, in contrast with the horizontal lines of the landscape. The choice of a narrow aperture (f/10) guarantees widespread sharpness, visually linking the texture of the subject to that of the rocks in the background.
