The Balance of the Cloud
by Davide Terrile·Support
A road carves a path between two embankments, pointing in a direction that vanishes beyond a slope. Suspended in the empty space between the two landmasses, a single cloud seems to engage in dialogue with the geometry of the power lines running across the upper part of the image.
The composition is built around a strong visual center, where the cloud acts as a fulcrum. The lines of the road and cables create a grid that organizes the space, while high-contrast black and white isolates the shape of the cloud against the sky.
