A Pause on the Path

A gravel path opens up between a wooden fence and the white wall of a building, under a bright sky. Along the way, a bicycle leaning against the fence marks a pause, a fixed point before the line of the path vanishes toward the flat horizon.
The composition is built on converging lines — the path, the fence, the building — that guide the eye toward the background of the image. The direct light, managed with a very fast shutter speed, sculpts the surfaces and casts sharp shadows that become graphic elements of the landscape.
