The Braid

The nape of a child's neck, offered to the daylight. A tidy braid cannot contain the energy of fine hair, which ignites in the backlight. It is an intimate image that becomes universal, a fragment of memory that belongs to everyone.
The use of a telephoto lens (135mm) isolates the subject from the background, while the medium aperture (f/5.6) ensures sharpness on the hair texture. The very fast shutter speed (1/400s) freezes the moment, capturing the strong light that sculpts the contours.
