Metallic Oculus

The gaze from bottom to top is guided by a circular frame, an oculus that carves out a portion of sky and architecture. The curved and segmented surfaces of the foreground interact with the rectilinear geometries of the buildings visible in the background, in a confrontation between pure forms.
The composition is built on a vertical point of view, utilizing a standard focal length (50mm) that avoids perspective distortions. The f/4.5 aperture ensures sharpness across multiple planes, while the black and white accentuates the graphic contrast between the enveloping curve and the architectural grid in the background.
