Passage on Water

A figure advances on a suspended walkway, almost an apparition among the monumental volumes of the architecture. The water, a mirror of stone, dissolves the boundaries between solid and liquid in an instant of metaphysical stillness. Its path is a dark point crossing an almost absolute light.
The intense light is managed with a very fast shutter speed (1/1600s) that freezes the ripple of the water, transforming it into a graphic texture. The f/2 aperture and the choice to partially overexpose the scene reduce the landscape to an essential dialogue between geometric forms, water, and human shadow.
