Stone and Glass

From park level, the gaze rises to Midtown's architecture. The solid material of a skyscraper converses with the entirely glass surface of a more recent tower, allowing a comparison between different materials and eras to emerge.
Shooting from below emphasizes the vertical lines of the buildings dominating the frame. The 50mm lens, avoiding wide-angle distortions, compresses the planes and visually brings the facades closer, highlighting their formal comparison.
