Rain of Light

A solitary figure inhabits a monumental space, balanced between the solidity of stone and the tremor of water. Light descends like silent rain, fragmenting the geometry of the walls into dancing patches. A moment of suspension is achieved, a silent dialogue between the person and the surrounding architecture.
The very fast shutter speed (1/320s) freezes the motion of the water, transforming its surface into a textured and defined weave. The wide aperture (f/2) isolates the figure in its space, separating it from the surrounding geometries and accentuating its sculptural presence.
