Wings of an Afternoon

The tree trunks are wings on a natural stage, measuring space with a rigorous rhythm. Between columns of shadow and light, small human figures perform the gestures of an ordinary day, ephemeral moments inscribed in the slow time of the trees.
The use of a 135mm telephoto lens compresses the perspective planes, transforming the succession of trees into a dense graphic pattern. Closing the aperture to f/8 ensures a wide depth of field that links the materiality of the bark to the human figures in the background, unifying them in a single compositional breath.
