Urban Layers
by Davide Terrile·Support
Architectures of different eras and materials accumulate along a street, creating visual density. The mirrored facade of a building reflects and deconstructs the opposing masonry, introducing a play of surfaces. Below, traffic and the movement of passersby root the scene in the daily urban dimension.
The vertical framing and the use of a 50mm lens compress the planes, accentuating space saturation. The extended depth of field, achieved with an intermediate aperture (f/4.5), unifies street-level life and the building tops into a single scene.
