An outdoor space, covered by a canopy, accommodates the tables of a trattoria. The scene unfolds between the set table in the foreground and the background, where a figure moves on the threshold of the kitchen. The serving hatch on the right creates another point of contact between the interior and this corridor.
The wide-angle focal length (19mm) accentuates the perspective of the corridor, with the diagonal lines of the ceiling and walls leading the eye into the depth. The light coming from above defines the volumes and reveals the materiality of the surfaces, from the rough plaster of the wall to the flooring.
